Local Outreach

Connecting with the Community

We LOVE our Nevada community and strive to serve them and connect with them!

Some our regular local outreach opportunities include:

  • All Stars: Our community outreach Wednesday night children’s program for kids from preschool-6th grade Lincoln Highway Days: our church family sets up and runs a full, free carnival with games, prizes, and activities for our community each year. This is a huge event and tons of fun! We also participate in the Lincoln Highway Days parade.
  • Vacation Bible School: a weeklong event for community children to learn about God, play fun games, have a craft time, and sing exciting new songs.
  • Harmony Clothing Closet: our youth group serves at our local clothing closet, sorting clothes and helping in any way they can, once a month. Our church family also collects items a couple times a year for the clothing closet to give away and be a blessing to those in need.
  • Christmas Caroling: We love getting together at Christmas time and sending teams around to carol to the local nursing homes and elderly folks within our community. This is definitely a highlight of the year.

We Believe

We are a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching church. Here’s a closer look at our beliefs and practices.

Our Statement of Faith

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God breathed, and therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the complete and divine revelation of God to Man. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their normal grammatical-historical meaning. The King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for the English-speaking people (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21).

2. The Godhead

We believe in one Triune God, eternally, existing in three persons- Father, Son, Holy Ghost, each co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections, (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 1 John 5:7)

3. The Freeness of Salvation

We believe the Scriptures teach that the blessings of salvation are made free to all by the Gospel; that it is the immediate duty of all to accept them by a cordial, penitent, and obedient faith; and that nothing prevents the salvation of the greatest sinner on earth except his own inherent depravity and voluntary refusal to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, which refusal will subject him to an aggravated condemnation. (I Thessalonians 1:4; Colossians 3:12; I Peter 1:2; Titus 1:1; Matthew 11:28; Isaiah 55:1,6,7; Revelation 22:17; Romans 10:13; John 6:37; Acts 2:38; John 3:15,16; I Timothy 1:15; I Corinthians 15:10; Ephesians 2:4,5; John 15:40; John 3:18,36)

4. Repentance

We believe the Scriptures teach that repentance is a personal act, prompted by the Spirit of God; and consists in a godly sorrow over sin, as offensive to God and ruinous to the soul; that it is accompanied with great humiliation in view of one’s sin and guilt, together with prayer for pardon; also by sincere hatred of sin, and a persistent turning away from, and abandonment of, all that is evil and unholy. (Matthew 3:1,2; 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 3:19; 5:31; 17:30; 20:21; Luke 18:13; 24:47; II Corinthians 7:2; Romans 2:5; Isaiah 55:7; Psalm 51:1-4,7)

5. The Total Depravity of Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin that human race fell, inherited a sinful nature and became alienated from God; and that man is totally depraved, and, of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 3:22-23, 5:12, 6:23; Eph. 2:1-3, 4:17-19).

6. Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (John 1:12; Rev. 1:5, Eph. 2:8-10).
